In Loving Memory of Digger, Buzz, Amy & Percy
They were all very old and slept all day
Too weak and frail to enjoy their usual play
All they could see was a hazy view
But still with their eyes said "I Love You"
We gave them lots of love, good food and a favourite chair
We look now with heartbreak as we no longer see them there.
The bond we shared will always be
The dreaded day came when their eyes said "If you really do love me"
We knew then what we must do and we said "Yes we really do love you"
Their baskets and blankets went to our vets, accompanied by our beloved pets
We stroked them lovingly as they gave a peaceful purr
Everything through our tears just became a blur
Our vet helped them peacefully to reach the end
This was the last compassionate thing we could do for them because they were
Our beloved friends
Now at peace they will suffer no more
We take them home and gently touch their paw
Wrapped in their blankets we make a little grave
And thank them all for the unconditional love they gave.
